Lead Application Architect, Healthcare Technologies - Gainwell Technologies Remote

Lead the architecture of modernized Medicaid DDI and Provider Plus platforms at Gainwell Technologies. Shape cloud, data, security, and AI-enabled engineering strategies for remote healthcare technology delivery.

Description

  • Own target-state and transition architecture for modernized Medicaid DDI and Provider Plus capabilities
  • Establish architecture direction and AI-enabled engineering guardrails across applications, data, integrations, cloud, security, platform delivery, and operations
  • Develop target, transition, and reference architectures, along with principles, standards, architecture decisions, nonfunctional requirements, and exception governance
  • Guide solution patterns using React micro-frontends, .NET 10 and C# microservices, serverless services, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and event-driven design
  • Own multi-tenant isolation, configuration, feature flags, multi-version support, and compatibility approaches for legacy SOAP and WCF interfaces
  • Define AWS, data, integration, identity, Terraform and CI/CD, observability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and operational architecture
  • Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, technology and vendor assessments, technical-risk decisions, and production-readiness governance
  • Coordinate product, engineering, security, data, operations, and DDI roadmaps
  • Mentor architects and present technical tradeoffs to executive stakeholders

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in application architecture or product engineering
  • Experience leading architecture for complex enterprise, SaaS, or cloud-native platforms across the full software development lifecycle
  • Advanced expertise in applications, APIs, integrations, data, security, DevSecOps, reliability, and modernization
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, MMIS/MES, or another highly regulated industry is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule for business needs and travel when required
  • Video cameras are required for all interviews and throughout the first week of orientation
