Kinaxis Maestro Functional Consultant – Colorado Remote

Lead Kinaxis Maestro demand and supply planning technology for TEKsystems clients. Own solution design, implementation, integrations, and production support in a remote role with limited travel.

Description

  • Act as the IT functional subject matter expert for North American demand and supply planning.
  • Maintain end-to-end knowledge of planning decisions, business rules, planning horizons, master data, KPIs, ownership, decision rights, handoffs, and standard work.
  • Convert business process needs into functional requirements, solution options, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
  • Serve as the internal Kinaxis Maestro expert across planning models, workbooks, dashboards, task flows, scorecards, control tables, alerts, scenarios, business rules, master data dependencies, integrations, reporting, and user experience.
  • Lead or support functional design work and review and approve Kinaxis solution designs and configurations.
  • Track Kinaxis product capabilities and releases and recommend useful enhancements.
  • Collaborate with architecture, data, integration, security, delivery, and application teams on cross-system impacts and enterprise standards.
  • Provide functional leadership across discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
  • Create or review functional documentation, process flows, solution decisions, configuration records, test evidence, release materials, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer content.
  • Lead functional resolution of complex production incidents and recurring issues, and validate root-cause corrective actions.
  • Oversee managed-service providers and implementation partners by reviewing estimates, designs, deliverables, and compliance with standards.
  • Support business readiness, super-user training, release communications, and adoption efforts.
  • Provide internal oversight of external implementation partners, software vendors, and managed-service providers supporting Kinaxis and connected planning processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, is required.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, enterprise planning technology, IT functional consulting, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both demand planning and supply planning, beyond technical system administration.
  • Required experience implementing, enhancing, or supporting Kinaxis RapidResponse or Kinaxis Maestro in production.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting, forecast review, accuracy and bias, demand consensus, supply and production planning, capacity and material constraints, inventory planning, scenario analysis, exception-based planning, and planning master data.
  • Experience translating business processes and requirements into functional designs, configuration decisions, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sustainable support practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, master data, integrations, enterprise data platforms, reporting, and cross-functional processes supporting advanced planning.
  • Experience with the systems development lifecycle, testing, release management, incident and problem management, and change control for enterprise applications.
  • Experience overseeing systems integrators, managed-service providers, or software vendors and evaluating their estimates, designs, configurations, documentation, and outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with planning leaders, planners, IT teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority, make sound functional recommendations, balance business outcomes with platform integrity, and drive issues to resolution.
  • APICS/ASCM, Kinaxis, or another recognized supply chain planning or platform certification is preferred.
  • Experience in global manufacturing, agriculture, consumer products, or food and beverage environments is preferred.
