Junior Motion Designer – Chicago Hybrid

Junior Motion Designer creating 2D and 3D animation for campaigns, AR experiences, films, microsites, and activations. The role combines motion design, live-action, and post-production work.

Description

  • Create 2D and 3D animation for websites, social media, out-of-home activations, and standalone content
  • Build new skills and software knowledge through self-directed learning
  • Stay current with design trends, visual art, and industry best practices
  • Provide accurate time estimates for assigned work
  • Respond to project challenges with practical, solution-focused thinking
  • Develop visual looks and animation across a range of projects
  • Produce 2D and 3D assets for augmented reality applications
  • Create motion design for social campaigns, short animated films, microsites, and out-of-home activations
  • Use motion to bring user interfaces to life

Requirements

  • Have 0–2 years of experience at an agency or animation studio
  • Work comfortably with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects
  • Show graphic 2D and 3D motion design ability through a portfolio
  • Provide a demo reel or portfolio showing broad and considered motion work
  • Accept and apply direction and feedback effectively
  • Meet deadlines and collaborate with a team while working independently when needed
  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or Redshift is a strong advantage
