Junior Legal Counsel – Ukraine (Remote)
Provide legal support to Genesis, a Ukrainian company building global technology businesses. Work across commercial contracts, intellectual property, legal operations, and research in multiple jurisdictions.
Description
- Draft and review commercial contracts, internal policies, and other legal documents.
- Improve legal operations through automation, standardization, and more efficient document and process workflows.
- Protect intellectual property, including trademark registrations in the US, EU, and other leading markets, and copyright registration in the US.
- Research laws and conduct legal analysis across leading markets and jurisdictions.
- Support the company’s ongoing operations in its operating jurisdictions, focusing on North America, Europe, and Central Africa.
- Assist with pre-trial dispute resolution and litigation under the supervision of senior colleagues.
- Communicate with business partners, law firms, and service providers across jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Fluent English, including the ability to draft legal documents.
- International certificates such as IELTS or TOEFL are an advantage.
- At least one year of relevant experience at an international or leading law firm, or at a Big Four audit firm.
- A strong academic record at a leading law university.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Initiative and willingness to take on a broad range of legal work and apply creative thinking.
- Hard-working, organized, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draw practical business conclusions and think strategically.
- Moot court participation is an advantage.
- Experience with contract law.
- Experience with intellectual property law.
