Junior Java Developer for IoT Systems — Hybrid in A Coruña

Description
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services connected to IoT systems and cloud solutions
- Build and maintain Java 21 backend applications with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Apply microservices and hexagonal architecture patterns
- Design and consume REST APIs and Avro data contracts
- Integrate messaging systems such as JMS and MQTT with REST and TCP/IP communication protocols
- Manage distributed caching with Redis
- Work with NoSQL databases, particularly Azure Cosmos DB
- Implement observability and monitoring with Grafana and Azure Application Insights
- Support deployments using Docker, AKS, and Kubernetes, including Azure Arc for hybrid environments
- Develop unit tests with Mockito and integration tests with Testcontainers
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Two to three years of experience developing with Java 17 or later
- Practical experience with microservices architectures
- Experience developing and integrating synchronous and asynchronous messaging systems, including Kafka
- B2-level English with fluent reading and writing skills
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and hybrid deployments
- Availability to work from the A Coruña office one or two days per week
- Availability for occasional international travel to support implementations
