Junior Infrastructure Engineer – Hybrid in Kaunas at Gritmind

Gritmind is hiring a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to support office hardware, networks, security, and user access in a hybrid Kaunas role. The position includes automating IT operations with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and related tools.

Description

  • Own hardware and software records, supplier details, warranties, assets, MDM, and onboarding or offboarding administration
  • Deliver first- and second-line technical support both on-site and remotely
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access changes for joiners, movers, and leavers
  • Operate and monitor office networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN
  • Implement security controls such as MFA, patch management, endpoint protection, least-privilege access, and backups
  • Configure monitoring and alerting systems and handle infrastructure incidents
  • Streamline onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, and reporting workflows
  • Find repetitive manual tasks and automate them using scripts and other tools

Requirements

  • At least one year of practical IT administration or support experience
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune
  • Understanding of secure, reliable infrastructure for a mid-sized office
  • Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi and firewalls; Ubiquiti UniFi experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIS2, or CIS security frameworks and standards
  • Experience administering Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Interest in programming and automation; Python is preferred and TypeScript is welcome
  • Willingness to incorporate AI into daily work
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Analytical and rational problem-solving approach
  • PowerShell or Bash scripting experience
  • Basic Git knowledge is a plus
