Junior Data Engineer (Disability-Exclusive) — IPIRANGA
Join IPIRANGA’s data team to build Databricks pipelines and Lakehouse solutions. Help strengthen data governance, quality, and platform performance.
Description
- Build and maintain pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Develop and improve Python and SQL notebooks in Databricks.
- Assist with Lakehouse solutions across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Monitor data loading and investigate process failures.
- Maintain data quality, reliability, and traceability.
- Support data governance and cataloging with Unity Catalog.
- Document processes, tables, and pipelines.
- Work with data architects, engineers, scientists, and business teams.
- Help improve data platform performance and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- A completed or ongoing degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, software engineering, production engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related technology or analytics field.
- Intermediate SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Understanding of ETL and ELT concepts.
- Basic data modeling knowledge.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Knowledge of Databricks or academic or professional experience with it.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred: knowledge of Apache Spark.
- Preferred: knowledge of Delta Lake.
- Preferred: experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Preferred: knowledge of Unity Catalog.
- Preferred: knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
- Preferred: experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Preferred: Databricks or Microsoft Azure certification.
- Preferred: involvement in data-related academic projects, undergraduate research, or internships.
