Junior Business Analyst, Data Mapping - Peraton Remote

Support Peraton’s federal environmental integration program by mapping NOAA Fisheries data. Document requirements, user stories, stakeholder decisions, and ESA species-data integration deliverables.

Description

  • Document NOAA Fisheries consultation requirements, data-system characteristics, and species-data standards with the NOAA business analysis subject-matter expert
  • Analyze NOAA Fisheries source-data structures to support schema harmonization and source-to-target mapping
  • Create NOAA Fisheries user stories and acceptance criteria for species displays, habitat-designation presentations, and template content
  • Assist with requirements workshops and record meeting notes, decisions, and action items
  • Help develop pilot consultation scenarios for marine-only and anadromous species consultation types
  • Track NOAA Fisheries subject-matter expert reviews and approvals for deliverables requiring authorization
  • Help create training materials and job aids for partner offices
  • Maintain traceability matrices connecting NOAA Fisheries requirements with implemented features and test cases
  • Prepare NOAA Fisheries content for progress reports and the year-end final report
  • Support integration of marine and anadromous species data into the existing FWS platform to provide a unified experience for ESA-listed species

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with no experience, an associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Ability to perform all work within the United States
  • Business analysis experience on federal IT or data programs
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation
  • Experience analyzing data-mapping or data-integration requirements
  • Strong skills supporting facilitation and documenting meetings
  • Familiarity with NOAA Fisheries data systems or marine and environmental science data
  • Direct experience with NOAA Fisheries data systems or marine species databases
  • Experience supporting federal environmental regulatory programs
  • Experience contributing to program status or monthly progress reports
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
  • ECBA or CCBA certification
