IT Audit Manager

Description

  • Analyze risk across assigned audit areas and develop proposed internal audit plans
  • Coordinate scheduling and planning for audit and advisory engagements
  • Partner with leaders and colleagues to deliver innovative audit and advisory methods
  • Develop audit testing strategies centered on internal control design and effectiveness
  • Conduct audit testing and analysis while supervising assigned staff or contractors
  • Review workpapers, record control weaknesses or inefficiencies, and drive engagement completion
  • Use independent judgment to define engagement coverage and identify appropriate information sources
  • Assess issues independently according to their impact and significance
  • Prepare audit results and lead entry and exit meetings to secure management agreement and responses
  • Monitor previously reported findings and management action plans through follow-up
  • Prepare reports for senior management and corporate directors
  • Evaluate emerging technology and cybersecurity risks spanning AI, cloud services, application and API security, data protection, third-party technology, and operational resilience
  • Work with the Data Analytics team on analytics, automation, and AI-enabled methods for risk assessment, audit testing, continuous monitoring, and reporting
  • Coach and develop junior team members through practical guidance and constructive feedback

Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years of experience in technology audit, consulting, or information security
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, finance, or another relevant business or technology field, with relevant experience considered
  • An MBA or master’s degree in information systems, analytics, computer science, engineering, or finance is advantageous
  • A professional auditing, security, or technology credential such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or CFA is preferred; candidates actively completing credential requirements may also qualify
  • Experience in asset management or securities is advantageous
  • Understanding of investment products, portfolio management, trading, investment operations, and finance
  • Experience auditing enterprise and web applications, cybersecurity, privacy, application and API security, secure development, vulnerability management, UNIX, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, and Oracle databases
  • Experience auditing networks and firewalls is advantageous
  • Experience auditing cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of cloud security, configuration management, encryption, logging and monitoring, identity controls, and third-party or SaaS governance
  • Experience creating and performing audit-focused data analysis with analytics, automation, and AI-enabled methods
  • Experience developing continuous auditing or monitoring tools and methods is advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including risk identification, issue investigation, root-cause analysis, and action selection
  • Advanced knowledge of COBIT, NIST, ISO 27000, OWASP, and AI governance and control frameworks
  • Strong awareness of technology and cybersecurity developments, including AI governance, model risk, cloud security, application and API security, identity and access management, data protection, DevSecOps, third-party technology risk, and operational resilience
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, ACL, or IDEA is advantageous
  • Experience with R and Python is advantageous, including audit automation, data validation, analytics scripting, and AI-assisted audit procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
