Description

  • Oversee and advise developers and architects delivering complete data solutions
  • Advance technical and business capabilities through mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Assess existing solutions to uncover and implement efficiency improvements
  • Modernize legacy flat-file integrations with cloud-native pipelines built on Azure Data Factory, Azure Function Apps, and Azure SQL
  • Coordinate API-based data ingestion and delivery patterns
  • Contribute to technology planning and the organization’s future capability needs
  • Lead the shift from traditional flat-file exchanges to API-based integration models
  • Align new implementations with cloud architecture standards and long-term modernization plans
  • Use established best practices and industry standards to design and deliver Holman solutions
  • Help onboard and initially train new employees
  • Coach team members and provide input for development and performance discussions
  • Assign work and establish delivery deadlines
  • Set technical goals, track key deliverables, and report performance and delivery metrics
  • Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or information technology is preferred
  • Hands-on experience developing applications
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with .NET Core and Entity Framework Core
  • Ability to review code, uphold coding standards, and improve data-access performance
  • Working knowledge of Azure resources and cloud architecture
  • Extensive SDLC experience, including development practices, version control, and deployment pipelines
  • Advanced understanding of data movement and transformation
  • Practical data-modeling experience
  • Experience working with ETL tools
  • Experience with or knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools
  • At least five years of application development experience
  • Experience supporting CI/CD, including Azure DevOps pipelines for .NET, APIs, Azure Function Apps, and Azure Data Factory deployments
  • Experience developing business processes
  • Demonstrated design experience and a record of leading technical initiatives
  • Strong analytical and timely problem-solving skills
  • Broad and deep expertise in a technical or functional discipline
  • Ability to evaluate and improve processes, methods, and tools
  • Ability to turn high-level cloud strategy into actionable technical direction
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new or changing work environments
  • Ability to operate within budgetary and financial objectives
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues using established processes, expertise, and judgment
