GSK Oncology Account Manager, Solid Tumor — Maryland Remote

GSK is seeking an Oncology Account Manager to support solid tumor care across northern Maryland. The role covers territory planning, clinician partnerships, patient access, product launches, and commercial performance.

Description

  • Own a defined territory while developing trusted relationships with oncology care teams
  • Build and execute territory plans that improve patient access and produce measurable results
  • Maintain partnerships with oncologists, specialty pharmacists, nurse navigators, and institutional accounts
  • Prioritize key prescribers and accounts, directing resources toward their needs and objectives
  • Work with medical affairs, market access, commercial operations, and other cross-functional teams
  • Apply customer insights and performance data to set priorities, establish goals, and evaluate results
  • Coordinate compliant field programs supporting product launches and local promotional initiatives
  • Travel frequently throughout the assigned territory and occasionally to other locations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • At least three years of pharmaceutical, biologic, specialty sales, or clinical oncology experience involving direct physician or institutional engagement
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive throughout the assigned territory, an essential job function
  • Residence within the assigned territory
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and occasionally beyond, including overnight trips and weekend conferences
  • Ability to travel up to 30–50% based on territory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, including relationship building and influence without formal authority
  • At least two years of oncology or specialty sales experience; health system or institutional account experience is preferred
  • Experience with hematology or solid tumor therapies
  • Experience with infusion products
  • Knowledge of specialty pharmacy, payer engagement, or account-based strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute territory plans while achieving measurable targets
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences
