Grants Proposal Coordinator - Illinois Remote

Coordinate sponsored-program proposals, budgets, reporting, and compliance for Carle Health’s externally funded healthcare programs. Support grant submissions, award administration, financial oversight, and audit activities.

Description

  • Submit new, renewal, continuation, supplemental, and extension grant proposals to external sponsors for Carle Health.
  • Interpret funding-agency rules and guide applicant departments on application requirements, terms, and conditions.
  • Evaluate proposal budgets and narratives while confirming institutional commitments and operational feasibility.
  • Compile administrative materials for proposals and progress reports, including budget justifications, biosketches, other-support documents, and support letters.
  • Maintain reporting systems that track award lifecycles and grant-account financial activity.
  • Analyze financial reports to help program directors manage sponsored programs.
  • Support budget revisions and award amendments.
  • Represent Carle Health in internal and external audits alongside Accounting and Compliance teams.
  • Strengthen tracking and reporting processes for grant proposals and awards.
  • Contribute to grant policies, operating procedures, and training.
  • Attend national meetings and conferences focused on grants accounting and financial administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required.
  • Professional experience in a related field.
  • Ability to interpret federal and private sponsor guidelines and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of OMB 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance and organization-specific grant requirements.
  • Ability to create and evaluate proposal budgets, narratives, and supporting materials.
  • Ability to track grant-account finances and maintain compliance with policies, budgets, and agreements.
  • Ability to support budget changes and award amendments.
  • Ability to participate in audits, national meetings, and conferences involving grants accounting and financial administration.
