Maintain general ledger records, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close activities for Sumerge in Cairo. Support tax filings, audits, forecasting, and improvements to finance operations.
Description
- Record transactions accurately in the general ledger system and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post routine journal entries for accruals, deferrals, prepayments, and other adjustments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate straightforward discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including standard financial statement preparation.
- Follow accounting policies and provide documentation needed for audits.
- Prepare routine tax returns and filings under supervision.
- Contribute to process improvement projects and collaborate with other departments to strengthen financial operations.
- Deliver accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flow.
- Coordinate between the Finance team and the functional areas it supports.
- Address issues involving forecasting, planning, resource prioritization, and business profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two to five years of relevant accounting experience.
