GHD Senior Civil Engineer - Vancouver Hybrid

Description
- Lead the design, planning, management, and delivery of civil engineering projects
- Provide accurate, compliant, high-quality solutions for roads, railways, airports, bridges, dams, water and sewage systems, irrigation, and power facilities
- Manage relationships with smaller clients while supporting senior colleagues with larger accounts
- Take part in a community of practice to expand technical expertise
- Oversee day-to-day relationships with contract service providers
- Inspect engineering works, installations, and structures, then define required remedial work
- Develop engineering solutions and validation processes that meet organizational and regulatory standards
- Contribute to engineering standards, specifications, and compliance assessments
- Apply HSE policies, identify and mitigate risks, and address unsafe team behaviors
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements
- Build professional capability through training, coaching, education, and accreditation
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs
- Deliver small- and medium-scale projects within an established program management plan
- Prepare proposals and responses for bids, requests for proposals, and tenders
- Support feasibility studies, risk assessments, pricing, client engagement, and business development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- More than six years and up to ten years of broad professional experience, including comprehensive experience in the relevant area
- At least seven to twelve months of experience supervising junior colleagues
- Technical expertise demonstrated against professional accreditation standards
- Ability to independently lead engineering design, planning, management, and delivery
- Knowledge of civil infrastructure projects involving roads, railways, airports, bridges, dams, water and sewage systems, irrigation, and power facilities
- Ability to support feasibility studies, risk analysis, pricing, bids, and tenders
- Knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, regulatory compliance, and HSE requirements
- Advanced capability in engineering design, development, implementation, testing, technical operations, and engineering practices
- Advanced skills in engineering data collection, analysis, and management
- Advanced project cost, budget, and schedule management skills
- Knowledge of risk management techniques
- Proficiency with engineering software, hardware, and methodologies
- Ability to maintain or obtain relevant external professional accreditation
