General Manager, Marina Operations (Onsite)
Lead onsite marina operations for Suntex Marinas, overseeing budgets, safety, compliance, customer service, and employee training. Drive strong service, operational performance, and profitability while maintaining a safe, well-managed property.
Description
- Oversee all marina operations within approved budgetary guidelines
- Improve guest service, operational performance, efficiency, and profitability
- Collaborate with the Home Office and colleagues across the organization
- Provide leadership and deliver outstanding customer service
- Maintain a professional company image in every interaction
- Meet financial targets established in annual operating and capital budgets
- Inspect property areas regularly to maintain high standards of appearance and safety
- Ensure completion of trash removal and related property-maintenance duties
- Follow government regulations governing marina operations
- Manage regulatory reporting and compliance, including weights and measures, OSHA, EPA, and Corps of Engineers requirements
- Protect the safety of customers and employees
- Train employees to use marina equipment and perform job duties safely, including firefighting equipment and spill containment procedures
Requirements
- At least five years of management experience, including employee supervision, accounting and budgeting, inventory control, advertising, and customer relations
- Working knowledge of general accounting and a basic understanding of financial statements
- Professional, effective communication skills for working with employees, customers, tenants, vendors, and government representatives
- Ability to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds
- Ability to swim or willingness to wear a personal flotation device during emergencies
- Ability to frequently perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements, with occasional squeezing and overhead reaching
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when needed
