General Accountant – Paris Hybrid

Join Biggie Group as a General Accountant supporting an international 360° communications consultancy. You will oversee period-end close, tax filings, and accounting for entities in France and abroad.

Description

  • Maintain general ledgers for group entities, covering bank activity, miscellaneous transactions, fixed assets, foreign exchange differences, and exceptional items.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including reconciliations, matching, adjustments, provisions, and journal entries.
  • Prepare VAT, corporate income tax, company vehicle tax, CVAE, and other applicable returns.
  • Prepare financial statements and tax packages with the Accounting Manager.
  • Post bank transactions, complete reconciliations, and review trial balances and general ledgers.
  • Help strengthen accounting processes while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage an assigned entity portfolio independently alongside accounts receivable and accounts payable teams.
  • Calculate taxable income for the assigned entities.
  • Act as the main contact for statutory auditors across the assigned portfolio.
  • Support the Group’s expanding operations in France and internationally.
  • Join an eight-person accounting team reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

  • Hold a two-year higher-education qualification equivalent to Bac+2 in accounting, management, or finance.
  • Have a BTS in Accounting and Management, a DUT in Business and Administrative Management (GEA), or an equivalent qualification.
  • Bring several years of general accounting experience from an in-house accounting department.
  • Work with accuracy, care, and close attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Show enthusiasm for supporting the Group’s growth and expansion.
