Description

Requirements

  • Be enrolled full time at an accredited college or university, or have completed a degree there within one year before the internship begins
  • Be available for a video interview if selected as a finalist
  • Have completed at least one college-level semester in editing or writing
  • Demonstrate strong writing, revision, copyediting, and proofreading skills
  • Have a sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy
  • Be able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Maintain close attention to detail, sustained concentration, and a high level of accuracy
  • Work effectively with others while presenting a professional image
  • Have video production experience
  • Have social media skills
  • Submit a cover letter
  • Submit a resume with a link to a digital portfolio
  • Include writing and editing samples in the digital portfolio
  • Include writing samples that demonstrate the ability to write for children
  • Include a sample story written in the style of Friend magazine
  • Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
