Freelance Video Editor – Remote in Germany

Vino Digital is seeking a freelance video editor to produce short-form wine advertising and, over time, 5–10-minute TAFKA videos. The role involves DaVinci Resolve, German-language editing, and AI-assisted production workflows.

Description

  • Manage post-production within existing DaVinci projects.
  • Create vertical video ads for winery partners.
  • Refine existing edits and apply minor revisions.
  • Combine compelling hooks, effective pacing, relevant B-roll, titles, natural color correction, and clear audio.
  • Maintain linked media, organized and traceable timelines, and exports that follow the established process.
  • Apply AI tools to speed up repetitive work and recommend workflow improvements.
  • Over time, edit 5–10-minute TAFKA videos using contemporary editing, strong openings, animations, and integrated visuals.
  • Ideally use Claude to animate provided HTML content and incorporate the results into videos.
  • Work from briefs, raw footage, assets, templates, and documented workflows.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with DaVinci Resolve Studio and confidence using the software.
  • A personal Studio license is preferred, although one can be provided if needed.
  • Portfolio samples demonstrating both short-form advertising and long-form video editing.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and the ability to explain how they improve speed or quality.
  • Experience with DaVinci MCP is advantageous.
  • Excellent German skills for editing scripts, on-screen text, and corrections accurately.
  • Work independently with focus and a results-oriented approach.
  • Identify missing information or assets early and communicate obstacles directly.
  • Respond reliably within 24 hours on business days.
  • Have a Gmail address for coordination through Google Chat.
  • Once availability is confirmed, usually deliver a first cut within one to two business days of the agreed start date.
  • Maintain a Blackmagic Cloud account for access to the shared project library.
  • Use a computer and internet connection capable of handling the projects reliably.
