Description
- Build and maintain high-quality native iOS applications
- Drive technical design discussions and help shape architecture decisions
- Produce clean, testable, reusable code that follows engineering best practices
- Improve performance across memory usage, launch time, and battery consumption
- Strengthen application stability through unit tests, UI tests, and code reviews
- Connect RESTful APIs and work with backend engineers on API design
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Android teams
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to shared engineering standards
- Work within Agile delivery and continuous delivery practices
Requirements
- At least five years of professional iOS development experience
- A demonstrated history of shipping and maintaining App Store applications at scale
- Experience taking features from initial design through production release
- Advanced Swift proficiency
- Working knowledge of Objective-C
- Familiarity with Kotlin and Android development fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of the iOS SDK and core Apple frameworks
- Understanding of app, scene, and view controller lifecycles
- Experience implementing background tasks, push notifications, and local notifications
- Experience developing App Extensions, including widgets and share extensions
- Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit
- Knowledge of Swift Concurrency, including async/await, actors, and structured concurrency
- Experience using Combine and the Observation framework
- Working knowledge of GCD and OperationQueue
- Experience with navigation approaches such as NavigationStack and Coordinators
- Knowledge of dependency injection and Swift Package Manager
- Experience with MVVM, MVI, or The Composable Architecture (TCA)
- Understanding of Clean Architecture and modular application design
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and separation of concerns
- Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and assessing technical trade-offs
- Experience working with REST APIs, URLSession, and Codable
- Knowledge of authentication flows, error handling, and network caching
- Experience improving UI rendering, preventing main-thread hangs, and reducing launch time and battery usage
- Knowledge of memory management, ARC, retain cycles, and leak detection
- Experience profiling and debugging with Instruments
- Experience writing unit tests with XCTest and Swift Testing
- Experience creating UI tests with XCUITest
- Experience with snapshot and integration testing
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and mocking techniques
- Experience with Git, pull request workflows, and code reviews
- Experience developing in CI-compatible environments
- Experience managing App Store submissions and releases
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- A strong sense of ownership with an execution-focused approach
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
