Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer (EI/EIT) – Remote, U.S.

Investigate structural failures and construction defects for U.S. Forensic. Prepare technical reports, provide expert testimony, and travel to investigation sites.

Description

  • Investigate structural failures and construction defects through detailed forensic assessments
  • Inspect sites and collect information needed for forensic analysis
  • Apply engineering principles and established practices to evaluate structural conditions
  • Write concise technical reports documenting findings and conclusions
  • Give expert testimony in legal proceedings as needed
  • Keep current with structural engineering codes, standards, and industry developments
  • Assist projects and teams across the Greenville and Charlotte region
  • Complete additional assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • EI or EIT credential preferred, or the ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to travel by road several days per week, including local trips and regional air travel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • U.S. Person status required, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylee status
  • Frequent travel to and from investigation sites
