Description

  • Create course modules for one of four courses in the FinTech Engineering Specialization
  • Build labs, a reference implementation, an evaluation harness, and an instructor guide
  • Develop production-ready examples and exercises based on systems used by leading Latin American fintech companies
  • Connect academic learning with industry practice through education aligned with real-world needs
  • Support delivery of a FinTech Engineering Specialization for mid-to-senior software engineers

Requirements

  • Professional experience at a payments fintech serving Latin America, such as Clip, dLocal, Kushki, Ebanx, Stone, Conekta, or an equivalent company
  • At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including three or more years in fintech, payments, or financial services
  • Ability to write technical examples, labs, and exercises using both Go and TypeScript/Node.js
  • Strong written English, with the ability to produce clear and technically precise material for mid-to-senior engineers
  • A production-oriented approach focused on how engineers build and operate real systems rather than purely academic exercises
  • Knowledge of card payment flows, including ISO 8583 authorization, capture, reversal, and settlement; issuer-to-merchant actors; BIN routing; acquiring models; interchange; and familiarity with ISO 20022
  • Hands-on experience integrating at least one of PIX in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, or Transferencias 3.0 in Argentina, including QR payloads, interoperability, and settlement flows
  • Understanding of multi-tenant event-sourced systems, double-entry ledgers, isolation levels, locking, idempotency, transaction state machines, and safeguards against double-spending under high concurrency
  • Knowledge of Latin American clearing and settlement networks such as SLC, CERC, Prosa, ACH, and Coelsa, as well as BaaS or Ledger-as-a-Service integrations
  • Working knowledge of at least one Latin American regulatory framework—BACEN, CNBV, BCRA, or SFC—and of settlement finality, non-repudiation, and audit trails as engineering constraints
  • Conceptual understanding of stablecoin settlement for cross-border payments
  • Experience producing technical documentation such as RFCs, ADRs, and OpenAPI specifications
  • Spanish language skills are desirable for preparing contextual regulatory notes for specific Latin American markets
