Financial Analyst III – International

Supports international finance reporting, budgeting, KPI development, and variance analysis while contributing to business optimization for a global medical device organization.

Description

  • Collaborate with business units to deliver reporting, analysis, and financial, market, and best-practice insights that support sales performance and business optimization
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial analyses and reports
  • Validate financial results, identify variance drivers, and document performance commentary
  • Conduct trend and sensitivity analyses to assess potential effects on business results
  • Build cross-functional relationships with relevant business units and participate in cross-functional meetings
  • Collect, organize, and present financial data for management reports and leadership reviews
  • Prepare and summarize plan-versus-actual reports with variance explanations
  • Track relevant KPIs, trends, and events and incorporate them into forecasts and analyses
  • Research and resolve inquiries within assigned functional areas
  • Contribute to improvements in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting efficiency
  • Coordinate with global finance teams on reporting systems, developments, and enhancements
  • Develop and deliver consistent financial KPIs with global finance teams
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc reporting, planning, and analysis for international finance and sales teams
  • Support sales and operating expense budgets and collaborate with finance and sales partners on budget understanding
  • Analyze market data for existing products, new business opportunities, and product launches
  • Maintain relationships with international supply chain, operations, transfer pricing, and global finance and accounting teams
  • Identify, investigate, and report unexpected financial activity and variances, including actual-versus-plan and year-over-year comparisons
  • Work with international finance teams and the IT Center of Excellence to streamline processes and reporting practices
  • Adjust working times or hours as needed to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or economics is required
  • At least three years of relevant work experience is required
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with close attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of SAP, an ERP system, or an equivalent platform
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Advanced working knowledge of the applicable specialty
  • Proven ability to solve problems independently and collaborate across functions
  • Ability to create or improve reporting and business processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise with business intelligence reporting tools and their underlying data
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret varied technical instructions presented mathematically or diagrammatically and manage abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to understand and apply the mathematical principles required for the role
