Field Service Technician, Lift Trucks

Repair and maintain Crown and other makes of lift trucks at customer locations. The role also includes planned maintenance, service van upkeep, and job documentation.

Description

  • Diagnose and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance on customer lift trucks.
  • Keep the service van and its inventory in order.
  • Complete paperwork after each service job.
  • Support customers in the field with lift truck and related technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Under two years of relevant work experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to operate lift trucks safely.
  • Sound mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer care focus.
  • A technical degree, prior lift truck repair or welding experience, and familiarity with testing equipment are preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard hand tools, electrical and air tools, torches, arc welders, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to understand service manuals, plan work, and follow through.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Temporary visa holders and applicants who need current or future sponsorship are not eligible.
