Event Assistant and Resident Manager - Onsite

Support residential services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at OpenGATE, a nonprofit provider. Train and supervise staff, coordinate coverage and schedules, and maintain program records and documentation.

Description

  • Support onboarding and training for Direct Support Professionals and Lead Counselors, including new-hire orientations.
  • Lead staff meetings when assigned.
  • Help verify that programs are delivered properly and supported by complete daily documentation.
  • Prepare daily documentation review reports for the Residence Manager and Lead Counselors.
  • Address missing or inaccurate data and other staff-related concerns.
  • Arrange staffing coverage to support residence operations.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules.
  • Oversee and administer personal allowances for the people served.
  • Attend Life Plan meetings and complete staff action plans and monthly notes.
  • Run fire drills, record outcomes, and escalate fire-safety concerns.
  • Coach and supervise designated staff members.
  • Take part in the MOC Rotation.
  • Use FIIX, ADP, Precision Care, and E-Requester when required.
  • Work with Maintenance to coordinate prompt, adequate residence repairs.
  • Organize leisure schedules and oversee leisure programming.
  • Prepare and submit weekly Activity Schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Two years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • SCIP-R certification is preferred.
  • AMAP certification is preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
  • Employees must legally reside and work in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania.
