Estate Planning and Probate Litigation Attorney

Represent Texas clients in estate planning, probate, and guardianship disputes, including courtroom advocacy. Manage complex matters with dedicated paralegal, administrative, marketing, and billing support.

Description

  • Take complex litigation from intake through final judgment, including contested divorces, complex SAPCR cases, and protective orders.
  • Lead probate disputes involving contested guardianships, will contests, trust conflicts, and fiduciary breaches.
  • Prepare comprehensive estate plans for clients.
  • Serve as first chair in trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions in Texas and surrounding counties.
  • Plan and carry out litigation approaches and negotiation strategies.
  • Represent clients with a focus on results and compassion.
  • Manage a varied caseload across firm offices as needed.
  • Supervise assigned paralegals and support staff.
  • Prepare accurate pleadings, discovery, and legal documents.

Requirements

  • Hold an active Texas State Bar license and have at least two years of licensure.
  • Bring five or more years of focused experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship litigation.
  • Demonstrate a record of courtroom success.
  • Take a confident approach to high-impact litigation.
  • Show strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Remain empathetic in emotionally difficult situations.
  • Use Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern electronic filing systems proficiently.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Be able to travel between firm offices.
  • English-Spanish bilingual ability is a strong advantage.
