Description

  • Compile and publish comprehensive research on companies, industries, financial markets, and economic developments
  • Analyze data and build models for company, industry, financial market, and economic research
  • Help develop valuation tools and support institutional client advice
  • Assist with quarterly and annual earnings forecasting models
  • Maintain and improve financial models and databases
  • Track market data, economic conditions, industry developments, internal policies, and regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with market participants
  • Collaborate with senior research leads on the ongoing publication of research reports
  • Support ad hoc research and business projects
  • Engage with clients and prepare and deliver client presentations
  • Complete internal and external research assignments
  • Help develop and deliver presentations and communications for management and broader audiences
  • Perform functional or enterprise-level analysis and provide recommendations
  • Track service, productivity, and efficiency metrics and implement process improvements
  • Manage relationships across business lines and control functions
  • Contribute subject-matter expertise to cross-functional and enterprise initiatives
  • Support team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
  • Keep stakeholders updated on project progress and relevant developments
  • Represent TD Securities and TD as a brand ambassador

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least two years of related experience
  • FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, and 87 licenses, or willingness to obtain them
  • CFA designation held or in progress preferred for publishing analysts and associates
  • Master's degree or PhD preferred
  • Deep expertise in the relevant specialty and working knowledge of related fields
  • Ability to perform data analysis and produce research reports
  • Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple variables
  • Ability to interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analytical results
  • Ability to work independently as a subject-matter expert and escalation point
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and evaluate multiple data inputs and build models
  • Ability to develop valuation tools and forecasting models
  • Ability to maintain financial models and databases
  • Knowledge of market data, economic information, industry developments, internal policies, and regulatory standards
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with market participants
  • Ability to prepare and deliver client presentations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Willingness to travel domestically on occasion
