Engineering Manager, E-commerce Squad — Hybrid in Vilnius
Lead the E-commerce engineering squad at Oxylabs, delivering reliable web data infrastructure for AI, e-commerce, and advertising customers. Own team development, operational excellence, and high-scale services processing substantial data and event volumes.
Description
- Lead the team according to company leadership principles and deliver measurable results
- Run sprint planning, maintain and refine Jira backlogs, and provide delivery estimates
- Prioritize work by business value and control scope changes
- Shape OKR strategy through product proposals, evidence gathering, and stakeholder alignment
- Build a supportive, sustainable team culture through workload planning and mentoring
- Participate in technical decisions, improve Agile practices, and remove day-to-day blockers
- Advance web data delivery capabilities for AI, e-commerce, and advertising companies
- Build and grow the E-commerce engineering squad
- Maintain high data quality, strong developer experience, and reliable squad services
- Operate infrastructure handling more than 60 PB of monthly traffic, 300,000 service requests per second, and 500,000 Kafka messages per second
Requirements
- Professional software development experience paired with a track record of leading technical teams; servant leadership is valued
- Strong foundation in web development, system design, HTML, JavaScript, and REST APIs
- Practical experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills supported by pragmatic, data-informed judgment
- Resilience and curiosity suited to a hybrid, international environment with distributed colleagues
- Backend experience in a language such as Python or Go is an advantage
- Web scraping experience is beneficial, with training available for candidates new to the area
