Description

  • Build embedded software for RTOS-based SDKs, including low-level drivers, hardware abstraction layers, RTOS abstraction layers, and board support packages.
  • Develop demonstration applications that highlight peripheral capabilities and performance.
  • Create validation applications that reuse components from RTOS SDKs.
  • Support first-silicon bring-up and validate key peripherals such as ADC, PWM, CAN, LIN, and watchdogs.
  • Help automate laboratory and continuous-integration test execution.
  • Work with architecture, hardware, safety, and tools teams to align software with silicon capabilities and product roadmaps.
  • Develop reference software and tools that help customers begin their designs.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues using emulators, silicon, OpenOCD, J-Link, and Lauterbach.
  • Feed software validation results into the architecture of future MCU generations.
  • Contribute to the broader RISC-V software ecosystem and relevant open-source projects.

Requirements

  • Bring 3–6 years of practical experience developing embedded systems software.
  • Program confidently in C and C++, with basic assembly-language familiarity.
  • Understand RTOS principles, including task scheduling, interrupt service routines, and semaphores.
  • Have experience debugging complex multicore systems.
  • Have used debugging tools such as OpenOCD, Segger J-Link, and Lauterbach.
  • Have ported or developed software for FreeRTOS, Zephyr, AUTOSAR OS, or comparable platforms.
  • Understand bare-metal development, memory-mapped I/O, and driver implementation.
  • Have brought up and debugged software on physical silicon or FPGA platforms.
  • Understand automotive interfaces and protocols including CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Have practical experience with test automation, Python or Bash scripting, and Git.
  • Have exposure to ASIL-D software development, ISO 26262 processes, or safety validation.
  • Have participated in post-silicon AVV or hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
  • Understand RISC-V architecture, instruction sets, and development toolchains.
  • Have developed or validated motor-control, powertrain, or safety-critical firmware.
  • Understand bootloaders, secure updates, or system-startup firmware.
  • Successfully complete applicable background checks and medical screenings.
