DevSecOps Engineer and AWS Cloud Administrator — Montgomery, AL (Hybrid)

Lead DevSecOps engineering and AWS Cloud One administration for TechFlow’s Department of Defense modernization program in Montgomery. Build secure CI/CD automation, manage infrastructure and compliance, and support mission-critical deployments.

Description

  • Own implementation and administration of the program’s DevSecOps ecosystem
  • Build, maintain, and continuously enhance automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Create and support Infrastructure as Code solutions across AWS environments
  • Administer AWS Cloud One environments for reliable, secure, compliant performance
  • Integrate SAST, DAST, open-source analysis, container scanning, and related DevSecOps security tools
  • Produce, maintain, and resolve findings associated with software bills of materials
  • Operate Docker-based container deployments and orchestration processes
  • Establish secure secrets and credential management, automated backups, and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Support production releases through installation plans, deployment packages, migration scripts, STIG materials, and IaC deliverables
  • Manage deployment artifacts within the binary repository
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, investigate operational and deployment problems, and resolve production incidents
  • Partner with software engineers, database administrators, architects, testers, and cybersecurity teams
  • Advance build automation, release workflows, infrastructure scalability, and application reliability
  • Maintain alignment with DoD cybersecurity, configuration management, and secure cloud operating standards

Requirements

  • Must be able to reach the customer site in Montgomery, Alabama, within two hours of notification
  • Must live within 60 miles of Montgomery, Alabama
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of DevSecOps engineering and AWS cloud administration experience
  • Current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent credential
  • Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or comparable automation tools
  • Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code with Ansible or a similar automation framework
  • Proficiency administering AWS services and cloud-based production environments
  • Experience with Docker, containerized applications, and orchestration platforms
  • Experience embedding SAST, DAST, open-source analysis, container scanning, and SBOM management into CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with secure configuration management, secrets handling, and automated deployments
  • Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards, STIGs, and secure cloud operations
  • Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, automation, scripting, and systems engineering
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Preferred qualifications include AWS certification, Air Force Cloud One or DoD software modernization experience, Kubernetes knowledge, Terraform or other IaC tools, RMF accreditation experience, monitoring or observability platform experience, and expertise in highly available cloud architecture or disaster recovery planning
