DevOps Engineer - Arlington, VA (On-Site)

Automate CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, and secure cloud infrastructure for Booz Allen Hamilton client applications. Build DevSecOps tools and support regulated environments.

Description

  • Develop, test, and program mission-critical client applications
  • Create and maintain software delivery pipelines from requirements through production validation
  • Use automation and cloud services to reduce repetitive operational work
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
  • Reduce reliance on manual testing and troubleshooting
  • Design and validate tools that improve and transform workflows
  • Support production operations through CVE remediation and planned rollbacks
  • Lead teams, projects, or initiatives while maintaining delivery quality and effective collaboration

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building and automating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, including automated testing and production deployment
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform
  • Experience creating repeatable, version-controlled environments across commercial cloud platforms, maintaining cloud-agnostic operations, applying security baselines such as STIGs, and working in regulated settings
  • Experience deploying and managing applications with containers and Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Experience applying DevSecOps practices such as SAST, DAST, secrets management, and policy validation, along with configuration management for large-scale automated rollouts
  • Experience supporting production systems through CVE remediation and planned rollbacks, with applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team, project, or initiative while ensuring quality delivery and encouraging collaboration
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of DevSecOps and regulated-environment security experience in place of a degree
  • DoD baseline security certification, such as CompTIA Security+
