Computer Vision Engineer, Algorithms — Hawk-Eye Innovations, Budapest Hybrid

Develop real-time computer vision algorithms for cricket tracking at Hawk-Eye Innovations. Improve ball and player tracking used in elite live sporting events.

Description

  • Develop and refine computer vision algorithms for cricket tracking systems
  • Create and improve multi-camera solutions for tracking balls and players
  • Support multi-view geometry work that increases tracking accuracy
  • Address occlusion, recovery, and object-tracking challenges
  • Optimise algorithms for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Advance established computer vision systems used in live production
  • Diagnose and resolve algorithmic accuracy and performance problems
  • Work with computer vision, software, and platform engineering teams
  • Propose enhancements to current systems and future developments

Requirements

  • Commercial or academic experience developing or applying computer vision algorithms
  • Strong C++ programming ability and interest in modern software development practices
  • Knowledge of core computer vision and image-processing principles
  • Familiarity with multi-camera systems and their computer vision challenges
  • Interest in algorithm optimisation and performance enhancement
  • Experience with Git or another version control system
  • Familiarity with development environments such as Visual Studio
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective collaboration and technical communication skills
  • CUDA or GPU-accelerated computing experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of concurrency and parallel processing is advantageous
  • Understanding of networking or operating system fundamentals is advantageous
  • Exposure to machine learning methods or related frameworks is advantageous
  • Experience with real-time or high-performance systems is advantageous
