Commercial Banking Development Program Credit Analyst - Phoenix Onsite

Analyze sponsor-finance credit opportunities for Western Alliance Bank’s commercial banking clients. Review financial statements, collateral, lending risk, compliance, and related loan documentation.

Description

  • Maintain financial profiles for current and prospective customers.
  • Prepare credit analyses for Loan Officers, the Chief Credit Officer, and executive management.
  • Manage financial spreading assignments and complete related analyses.
  • Keep associated records and files accurate and current.
  • Compile reports for the credit department.
  • Evaluate credit and collateral information to assess lending risk.
  • Organize and analyze company financial statements to support Bank compliance.
  • Update the Bank’s systems with relevant information.
  • Work with clients to resolve compliance matters and operational questions.
  • Review client financials and conduct sensitivity analyses to assess credit risk.
  • Develop detailed reports and action plans from qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Coordinate with Bank teams on treasury management products, foreign exchange instruments, derivatives, and legal documentation.
  • Assemble loan packages for new and restructured loans.
  • Coordinate reporting and information requests from field auditors, appraisers, and other third parties.
  • Monitor loan disbursements for compliance with Bank regulations.

Requirements

  • Completed coursework in accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Interest in commercial banking.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work productively without direct supervision.
  • Entry-level verbal and written communication skills.
