Cloud Security Engineer - UK Remote

Immersive Labs is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to create AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud security labs for its cyber resilience platform. The role combines cloud security expertise with practical, gamified learning content for cybersecurity professionals.

Description

  • Develop expertise in cloud security areas such as cloud SIEMs, Kubernetes, and Azure
  • Plan, write, and refine cloud security labs, challenges, and online learning materials
  • Create content in multiple formats, including practical exercises, questions, and gamified activities
  • Test cloud security labs to verify that they work as intended
  • Partner with Engineering and Content teams on new products and projects, including deployment decisions
  • Turn technical research into clear, concise material for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with the broader Product team on new initiatives and product innovations
  • Help define and guide the AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud content roadmap
  • Build emulated environments that recreate both offensive and defensive security scenarios
  • Design, develop, and deliver practical and theoretical content that makes cloud security engaging

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting production-critical infrastructure and cloud environments with a security focus
  • Strong understanding of at least one cloud platform or technology, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes, including identity, access, and security
  • Experience using cloud SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel or Google SecOps
  • Experience with CSPM or CNAPP tools
  • Strong containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of network, firewall, and security best practices
  • Experience automating infrastructure and deployments, particularly with Terraform
  • Understanding of cloud monitoring and security tools
  • Practical experience across cloud infrastructure, IT services, networking, and security
  • Background in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or SRE, with an emphasis on availability, reliability, and automation
  • Ability to explain complex topics through examples and analogies and turn them into realistic simulations
  • Enjoyment of solving complex problems through prototyping, iteration, and practical experimentation
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
