Cloud DevSecOps Engineer - Huntsville Hybrid

Automate secure Azure infrastructure for Torch Technologies’ defense programs in a hybrid Huntsville role. Build infrastructure as code, security-focused CI/CD pipelines, hardened systems, and AKS environments.

Description

  • Develop and automate infrastructure pipelines for J7 JTSD Azure environments
  • Collaborate with NIWC and contractor architects to replace manual provisioning
  • Create, test, and maintain production Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Ansible
  • Automate operating system hardening for DISA STIG compliance across Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server virtual machines
  • Build secure Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for vulnerability scanning, SonarQube static analysis, and Infrastructure as Code policy enforcement
  • Deploy and administer containerized workloads with Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Container Registry
  • Automate monitoring agents, log forwarders, and security telemetry routing to SIEM platforms
  • Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Travel 0–10%

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of progressive engineering experience, or 3 years with a master’s degree
  • Active Secret-level Department of War clearance
  • At least 2 years of experience writing and maintaining production Terraform configurations or Azure Bicep/ARM templates
  • Practical experience developing Ansible playbooks for operating system configuration, application deployment, or hardening
  • At least 2 years managing virtual networks, virtual machines, and storage accounts in Microsoft Azure
  • Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security
  • Strong problem-solving ability with experience troubleshooting complex issues
  • Clear communication and effective collaboration skills
