Business Systems Analyst - Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)

Business Systems Analyst supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and promotional planning for Anthropologie’s merchandising teams. This full-time, onsite role is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Description

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Allocation, and Technology teams to provide reporting and analytics solutions
  • Enable informed decisions and support major promotional and planning initiatives
  • Develop complete reporting and analytics solutions within a retail setting
  • Analyze business systems and underlying data
  • Build and automate recurring reports
  • Capture and maintain business requirements
  • Investigate and resolve issues affecting merchandising and planning stakeholders
  • Support merchandise promotion workflows and Anthropologie’s Planning teams
  • Maintain knowledge of the existing BI environment and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement
  • Identify risks to deliverables early and take corrective action
  • Conduct BI system analysis, design, development, testing, and user training
  • Coordinate project work across business, technical, and IT teams
  • Evaluate projects, define critical tasks, reprioritize work as needed, compare options, and recommend solutions
  • Build agreement among groups with differing viewpoints to support merchandise objectives

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of retail concepts and operational processes
  • At least two years of retail experience
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Confidence working with people at every level of the organization
  • Careful attention to detail while balancing quality and speed
  • Strong prioritization skills when managing multiple competing demands
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • MicroStrategy experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and MS-SQL is advantageous
  • Experience with at least one of Island Pacific Merchandising, Qlik reporting, or Excel is advantageous
  • Must be able to work onsite in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the posting specifies no remote work
