Description

  • Protect cloud infrastructure by maintaining security and regulatory compliance
  • Lead vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation across cloud resources
  • Administer IAM roles and policies, identity federation, encryption, KMS, and secrets management
  • Provision and operate AWS infrastructure as code with tools such as Terraform
  • Create custom scripts for CloudWatch metrics and alarms using application-specific probes
  • Build alerting and automated remediation workflows driven by probe results
  • Support incident response, cloud security investigations, and root cause analysis
  • Create and maintain security architecture documentation, runbooks, and operating procedures
  • Conduct AWS security posture assessments with automated assessment tools
  • Monitor AWS environments and identify security events with cloud security services
  • Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows
  • Implement and enhance AWS security controls, guardrails, and baseline configurations
  • Assess AWS environments for practical, cost-effective security improvements
  • Perform threat modeling and vulnerability analysis while coordinating remediation
  • Support internal and external audits by collecting evidence, validating configurations, and preparing documentation
  • Maintain compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements
  • Assist with risk assessments and security control testing
  • Support change management and keep system and process ownership records accurate
  • Assess cloud security tools and recommend improvements to the security environment
  • Maintain cloud environments against applicable security standards and best practices
  • Join on-call rotations for 24/7 production systems and respond to security incidents

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, 6 years with an MS/MA, or 12 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of cloud security or cybersecurity experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Hands-on experience with ECS, EKS, EC2, and Lambda
  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Advanced Terraform skills, including modules, variables, and workspaces
  • Deep knowledge of AWS security services including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, and Config Rules
  • Experience auditing IAM policies and permissions to enforce least privilege
  • Ability to interpret access logs, cloud account configurations, and IAM policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • US citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance required
  • Cloud certification preferred, such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Security Specialty
  • Security compliance or audit certification preferred
