Associate Director, Oncology Marketing – Canada (Hybrid)

Lead oncology marketing for Eli Lilly Canada’s solid-tumor portfolio, guiding commercial strategy and product launches. Oversee budgets, cross-functional collaboration, customer planning, and stakeholder partnerships.

  • Advance innovation, patient support, and sustainable growth for Eli Lilly Canada
  • Direct marketing activities and commercial execution across the solid-tumor portfolio
  • Create integrated customer, operational, and launch plans for new assets
  • Expand audience reach and improve customer experiences to support brand adoption and commercial performance
  • Connect strategic and tactical brand direction with corporate and oncology portfolio priorities
  • Implement customer plans through a strong cross-functional collaboration model
  • Develop detailed insights into patients and healthcare professionals involved in cancer care
  • Build integrated brand plans around the Canadian oncology market, competitive conditions, and patient journeys
  • Lead customer and operational planning for pre-NOC and post-NOC activities across multiple launches
  • Work with Market Access and Pricing & Reimbursement teams on commercial strategy and HTA submissions
  • Coordinate with Global and Affiliate teams to align strategy and share best practices
  • Create innovative engagement approaches for healthcare professionals
  • Oversee commercial brand budgets and P&L for assigned assets
  • Lead engagement with commercial thought leaders across relevant tumor types in Canada
  • Contribute insights and brand assumptions to sales forecasting
  • Develop patient advocacy partnerships with Medical Affairs and Government Affairs
  • Promote innovative thinking across cross-functional teams
  • Maintain compliance with the applicable commercial and regulatory environment
  • Create long-term plans for assigned assets
  • Coach and develop brand managers and marketing interns

Requirements

  • A university degree is required; an advanced degree such as an MBA, MSc, or PhD is strongly preferred
  • A successful history of launching at least two oncology brands, ideally across different tumor sites
  • At least 10 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare experience, including 5 or more years in marketing, preferably oncology
  • Experience managing several concurrent brand launches across different tumor types or therapeutic areas
  • Experience preparing for pre-commercialization and executing product launches
  • Experience managing people
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams spanning sales, medical, market access and reimbursement, and other functions
  • Sustained experience engaging thought leaders
  • Creative and effective approach to solving problems and developing customer solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong preference for bilingual English and French communication skills
  • Digital communications and channel expertise is preferred
  • Experience commercializing products in highly competitive therapeutic areas is preferred
  • Experience commercializing hospital-based specialty products and familiarity with oncology are preferred
