AI Developer, Data Migration (Remote in Germany)

AI developer role focused on data migration at SIV.AG, a solutions partner for the energy and water utilities sector. Build AI automation, ETL workflows, and migration logic.

Description

  • Create and improve AI features for mapping suggestions, consistency validation, and log analysis
  • Move AI-driven automation features into production environments
  • Build and maintain transformation and testing processes for model-based migration
  • Analyze datasets and record the logic used for migration
  • Occasionally support complex customer questions involving data quality or unusual cases
  • Own technical consistency reviews and maintain auditable test documentation
  • Collaborate with the migration team, R&D, and additional project stakeholders
  • Track emerging models, frameworks, and automation methods, then share relevant developments with the team

Requirements

  • Proven software development experience, preferably using Python
  • Background in data processing and ETL workflows
  • Hands-on experience with AI technologies such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar methods
  • Capability to make well-founded architectural choices and clearly communicate the reasoning
  • Experience testing, automating, and validating data pipelines for consistency
  • Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics
  • Degree or equivalent background in computer science, business information systems, data science, or a related field
  • Fluent German, with proficiency of at least B2
  • English proficiency is a plus
  • Availability to travel within the DACH region when project work requires it
  • Familiarity with the energy or water utilities sector is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as kVASy® is beneficial but not required
