ACA Programs Analytics and Reporting Consultant

Turn healthcare data into reporting and insights that support HCSC’s ACA risk adjustment programs, program strategy, and member outcomes.

Description

  • Support prospective risk adjustment initiatives, including ACA point-of-care and in-office assessments.
  • Assess program performance and find ways to improve member outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop business-driven reports, analyses, datasets, and reporting specifications.
  • Use reporting systems to produce datasets and reports for analysis.
  • Connect business teams with divisional data teams to deliver practical tools and analysis.
  • Partner with program leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to shape and execute strategic programs.
  • Investigate complex business challenges using internal and external data.
  • Spot and interpret trends and patterns in datasets.
  • Research strategic initiatives.
  • Share insights that inform decisions.
  • Build customer relationships and strengthen understanding of divisional data.
  • Respond to changing business needs and advance prospective risk adjustment strategies.
  • Lead functional teams and projects.
  • Prepare and present material that informs stakeholders and influences decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four years of analytical experience in relationship management or turning analytics insights into action, or nine years of relevant analytical experience.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for information strategies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and approach them from new perspectives using existing solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, including SDLC and Agile methods.
  • Experience preparing and delivering influential presentations.
  • Experience leading functional teams and projects.
  • Experience with at least one of SAS, SPSS, R, MATLAB, SQL, or Python.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Sponsorship is unavailable.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Preferred: master’s degree.
  • Preferred: healthcare experience in business development, business analytics, or innovation management.
  • Healthcare analytics experience, preferably with ACA, risk adjustment, population health, care delivery, or quality improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of prospective risk adjustment initiatives, including in-home and point-of-care assessments.
  • Experience evaluating healthcare program performance and translating findings into operational or strategic recommendations.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders on program strategy, implementation, and performance measurement.
  • Proficiency querying large datasets with SQL.
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience working with healthcare claims, eligibility, clinical, or encounter data.
