Senior Software Architect, Java and AI
Lead architecture for MEDHOST healthcare software, spanning Java and web applications, AI-driven development, and LLM integration. Guide technical standards, performance, and development teams across the software lifecycle.

- Set architecture direction and milestones for teams building scalable Java and web applications.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven development practices, including AI-DLC and coding agents such as Claude Code.
- Set standards for reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code and design artifacts.
- Assess and design solutions that integrate LLMs into products and internal workflows.
- Advance the enterprise architecture stack.
- Review and approve technical designs and help teams follow development standards.
- Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle in an Agile process.
- Define performance requirements and targets, and diagnose production bottlenecks.
- Improve development practices for unit testing, code review, builds, and deployment.
- Assess emerging technologies and create proofs of concept.
- Work with clients and internal users to identify long-term system needs and requirements.
- Provide technical support and help clients plan and meet implementation requirements.
- Coach and mentor developers, testers, and product managers.
- Maintain the effectiveness and implementation of the MEDHOST Quality Management System and meet applicable regulatory requirements.
- Carry out relevant QMS procedures and other assigned duties.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Master’s degree in computer science or an engineering discipline.
- Either four years of development experience, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering and six years of development experience, including substantial hands-on Java work.
- Substantial technical leadership experience and professional maturity.
- Hands-on experience using the AI-Driven Development Life Cycle (AI-DLC) or a comparable AI-native methodology in production software.
- Working knowledge of large language models, including prompt and context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and integrating LLM APIs into applications.
- Experience using Claude Code or similar AI coding agents in daily development, including configuring project context and guiding agents through structured, reviewable workflows.
- Experience designing and implementing highly available environments and clustered solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing server, middleware, and network infrastructure for web applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, support, and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based systems.
- DB2, AS/400, or Power Systems experience and knowledge are a plus.
- Healthcare knowledge, such as FHIR, HL7, SNOMED, or Medi-Span, is a plus.
