Senior Drupal Subject Matter Expert - United States Remote
Lead the architecture, modernization, and secure operation of enterprise Drupal applications supporting DHS. Drive integrations, accessibility, performance, governance, testing, and technical direction across Drupal programs.
विवरण
- Lead the design, modernization, and implementation of enterprise Drupal solutions that meet DHS technical standards and cloud-hosted environment requirements
- Define Drupal application architectures, including monolithic and headless or decoupled models
- Set architecture patterns, coding standards, and reusable module practices
- Direct the development, enhancement, and maintenance of custom Drupal modules
- Assess contributed modules and third-party libraries for security and long-term maintainability
- Improve Drupal performance through caching, content architecture, and page-rendering optimization
- Design integrations with Okta SSO, data services, cloud platforms, and external APIs
- Ensure Drupal applications interoperate with systems and databases across DHS Headquarters and enterprise environments
- Maintain alignment with DHS security directives, cloud security controls, and NIST-based safeguards
- Verify compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 A/AA accessibility requirements
- Oversee functional, regression, accessibility, usability, and integration testing within DHS Agile and SELC processes
- Provide technical direction for releases, migrations, deployments, and environment configuration
- Assess emerging Drupal features, frameworks, hosting approaches, and supporting tools
- Advise leadership on Drupal roadmaps, platform consolidation, and enterprise reuse
- Mentor developers, analysts, and architects
- Create or oversee SELC documentation, architecture diagrams, data flows, module specifications, and user and developer guides
- Support governance reviews, change control, and technical evaluations for Drupal enhancements, SCRs, and modernization efforts
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- At least 11 years of progressively responsible technical or functional experience in the relevant specialty
- U.S. citizenship
- Capacity to complete a government background investigation successfully
- Ability to obtain Public Trust status
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to motivate and lead technical teams
- Experience with or knowledge of Drupal, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, Dataverse, Confluence, Jira, and ServiceNow
- Knowledge of DHS technical standards; DHS security directives including 4300A; cloud security controls; NIST-aligned safeguards; Section 508; WCAG 2.0 A/AA; and Trusted Tester methods
- Microsoft certification is preferred
- Previous Public Trust status or security clearance is preferred
