Senior Back-End Engineer, Cognyte (Hybrid, Bulgaria)
Build Java microservices for Cognyte’s distributed analytics platform, designing scalable data systems and supporting engineering colleagues. This senior role is based in Bulgaria with a hybrid work arrangement.

- Build and deploy microservices that process and analyze large datasets across distributed environments.
- Design systems for high availability, low latency, and scalability.
- Contribute within a collaborative team using Scrum.
- Work with product owners, architects, and software engineers across countries to solve complex problems.
- Help shape technical decisions and strategy in support of the product’s long-term direction.
- Contribute to product design, architecture, and code refactoring.
- Review code contributed by other engineers.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bring at least eight years of hands-on Java development experience; Spring Framework experience is an advantage.
- Have hands-on experience building cloud microservices with native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, preferably on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Use AI tools effectively to improve development speed and quality.
- Have experience designing and implementing large distributed systems with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Bring experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Have experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Bring Elasticsearch experience; this is an advantage.
- Understand testing approaches that support code quality, reliability, and scalability in production.
- Have familiarity with running AI/ML workloads; this is an advantage.
- Be fluent in English.
- Bring a naturally curious mindset.
