Senior AWS Data Engineer
Senior AWS data engineer modernizing GFT Technologies’ Lakehouse platform. Builds Python and PySpark pipelines and supports data governance, analytics, and AI.

- Gather, organize, and process large datasets with ETL tools.
- Turn client business objectives into information management and business intelligence strategies.
- Build and maintain data pipelines with secure access to information.
- Create metrics and dashboards from collected data, maintaining information quality and integrity.
- Help modernize the data platform through Lakehouse architecture, governance, quality, and preparation for analytics and AI.
- Design dimensional models for business teams, dashboards, and reports.
- Contribute across the data lifecycle, from ingestion and processing through storage, transformation, consumption, and governance.
- Build and tune pipelines with Python, PySpark, and AWS services.
- Work with Apache Iceberg on analytical table management, versioning, schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Use engines such as Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL to query large datasets in columnar formats including Parquet and ORC.
- Implement unit and performance tests, security practices, access controls, and cloud monitoring.
- Improve the quality, traceability, integrity, and efficiency of data processes.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Experience gathering, transforming, and loading data with ETL tools.
- Experience using Python and PySpark.
- Experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, Athena, SNS, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB, and related Hadoop technologies.
- Experience with Lakehouse architecture and Apache Iceberg, including analytical table management, versioning, schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Experience with large-scale query engines such as Athena, Trino, Presto, or Spark SQL.
- Knowledge of columnar data formats such as Parquet and ORC.
- Experience with dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, granularity, keys, hierarchies, metrics, and KPIs.
- Experience processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of unit and performance testing.
- Experience applying security practices, access controls, and monitoring in cloud environments.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS Data Engineer certifications are a plus.
- Experience with data quality and data observability is a plus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch is a plus.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh is a plus.
- Knowledge of applying artificial intelligence to data is a plus.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
