- Lead and develop Property Underwriters through coaching, direction, and technical guidance
- Manage and grow a profitable retail middle-market property portfolio
- Source and evaluate new and renewal property submissions from retail brokers
- Act as a senior contact and subject matter expert for clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Lead strategy discussions and presentations for new and renewal business
- Provide underwriting direction and support for complex or significant regional risks
- Report to the Head of Retail Middle Market Property
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, risk management, insurance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Bring 7–12+ years of direct property underwriting experience, ideally in retail middle-market or commercial lines
- Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in middle-to-large commercial property underwriting, including risk selection, pricing, coverage, exposure management, and portfolio strategy
- Use strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Show a track record of managing and growing a profitable book of business
- Deliver clear, effective presentations
- Make sound decisions in complex situations
- Apply strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization abilities
