Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Lead reliability and cloud infrastructure automation for LeoLabs’ space-tracking radar and AI analytics platform. Improve security, deployment practices, and operational efficiency as the platform scales.

Tavsif

  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable systems.
  • Establish monitoring and incident response practices to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Create automation for deployments, monitoring, and system health checks.
  • Use capacity and performance data to plan for growth and implement scaling solutions.
  • Partner with development teams to strengthen product reliability and simplify deployments.
  • Document system architecture, operating procedures, and incidents.
  • Join on-call rotations to support critical systems around the clock.
  • Apply security best practices and help ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Deploy infrastructure changes independently using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Assess reliability risks and recommend improvements.
  • Refine dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks.
  • Improve deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and self-service tools.
  • Reduce cloud costs and improve infrastructure use while maintaining reliability.
  • Automate routine operations and make deployments more dependable.
  • Lead cross-team work to improve availability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Guide reliability decisions for new products and platform development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in a scripting or programming language such as Python or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Atlantis, or Terragrunt.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with databases such as RDS, Aurora, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State ITAR authorizations.
