Senior Data Engineering Manager

- Set technical direction alongside Architecture, Product and Technology leaders.

- Deliver secure, reliable and scalable data products with business domains.
- Promote engineering practices that improve quality, delivery speed, resilience and operations.
- Build relationships across technology, product and business teams.
- Turn business priorities into engineering outcomes and inform senior decisions.
- Evolve Very’s data ecosystem for reporting, analytics, data science, personalisation and decision-making.

- Substantial experience leading large-scale data engineering organisations in modern technology environments.
- Experience with AWS, Teradata, Fivetran and Power BI.
- A record of building, developing and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience delivering data platforms, pipelines and products at scale.
- Previous hands-on data engineering experience.
- Strong grasp of modern engineering practices.
- Experience in Agile, DevSecOps and product-led delivery settings.
- Ability to combine strategic planning with operational delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and confidence influencing senior leaders.
- Experience managing technical debt, engineering roadmaps and platform modernisation.
- Experience with AWS and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Teradata, Fivetran and modern data integration tools.
