Tavsif

  • Prepare and submit institutional claims electronically to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers.
  • Apply appropriate revenue codes to meet payer rules and reduce claim rejections.
  • Coordinate with Collections or follow up on delayed, underpaid, and denied accounts, supplying documentation to support recovery.
  • Audit accounts before billing to confirm eligibility, authorizations, and complete documentation.
  • Track federal and state rule changes, including PDGM payment rates for home health and hospice, and apply them to claims.

Talablar

  • At least one year of focused medical billing and claims-submission experience; home health or hospice billing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to submit and manage claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers.
  • Able to use electronic medical records and billing systems, along with clearinghouses for electronic claims.
  • Working knowledge of revenue codes for home health and hospice services.
  • Careful attention to detail and a commitment to fully accurate claims.
  • Analytical and numeracy skills for reconciliation and payment posting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet high-volume submission deadlines.
  • Persistent, proactive problem solving for billing edits and rejections.
