Tavsif

  • Conduct outpatient coding audits under indirect supervision
  • Review outpatient accounts for accurate diagnoses, CPT, HCPCS, CCI edits, and modifier assignment
  • Use ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, CPT Assistant, Coding Clinic, CMS, and NCCI guidance in audit work
  • Support client system education by evaluating accounts against clinical documentation, coding and CDI guidance, and regulatory standards
  • Document root-cause issues using spreadsheets, account examples, and claim examples
  • Research governmental, payer-specific, hospital-specific, regulatory, and published requirements
  • Advise clients on coding and billing requirements
  • Support executive summary reports, educational activities, and client coding companion training
  • Achieve productivity standards and maintain coding certification requirements
  • Participate in coding conferences, workshops, and internal sessions covering coding and regulatory updates
  • Deliver organized and efficient customer service
  • Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate offices as business needs require

Talablar

  • At least three years of outpatient facility coding experience
  • At least three years of auditing experience
  • Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory, and policy compliance issues involving medical coding, billing procedures, and documentation
  • Awareness of current and emerging requirements and trends in medical coding procedures
  • Ability to communicate medical information clearly to professional practitioners and the general public
  • Ability to adapt medical billing procedures, protocols, and data management systems
  • Ability to guide and train professional and technical staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Openness to innovation, including artificial intelligence
  • Residence in and authorization to work within the United States
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one current professional certification: CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
