Tavsif

  • Perform statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment, materials handling equipment, and related plant at customer sites.
  • Offer expert engineering guidance that helps customers operate safely and compliantly.
  • Work independently across an assigned geographic area.
  • Develop and sustain strong customer relationships.
  • Plan and manage an individual inspection schedule.
  • Inspect equipment in industrial, commercial, and construction settings.
  • Work at height and enter varied operational environments when required.
  • Collaborate with experienced Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders for support.
  • Complete ongoing technical development, induction, and training.

Talablar

  • Hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in a mechanical engineering-related discipline.
  • Bring practical engineering experience with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, lifting equipment, or comparable mechanical plant.
  • Have experience in maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing, or inspection settings.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrate effective organisation and time-management skills.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and conversation.
  • Use tablets, smartphones, and digital reporting systems competently.
  • Show strong commitment to engineering, safety, and quality standards.
  • Take a customer-focused approach and build effective professional relationships.
  • Work independently while managing personal workload and priorities effectively.
  • Apply practical problem-solving skills and make sound decisions in varied circumstances.
  • Explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Be organised, self-motivated, and adaptable in a field-based role.
  • Be able to visit customer sites and conduct inspections in varied working environments.
  • Maintain an ongoing commitment to expanding engineering inspection knowledge and expertise.
  • Previous experience as an Engineer Surveyor is desirable.
  • Know LOLER, PUWER, and relevant lifting-equipment legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Have experience conducting statutory inspections, thorough examinations, or compliance assessments.
  • Hold Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or be working toward professional registration.
  • Bring experience with a wide range of lifting equipment, cranes, materials handling equipment, or other industrial plant.
  • Understand lifting operations, crane systems, passenger and goods lifts, hoists, or construction plant.
  • Use artificial intelligence responsibly.
