Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Applications
Help Cisco enterprise customers move AI applications into production by designing architectures and building integrations. Solve complex engineering challenges alongside customers and internal product and engineering teams.
Tavsif
- Work with enterprise customers to clarify technical needs and business objectives
- Design scalable AI architectures and support customers through production launches
- Develop integrations, prototypes, and reusable tools to speed customer deployments
- Facilitate technical workshops and architecture reviews
- Resolve complex issues affecting production systems
- Share customer insights with Product and Engineering to inform product improvements
- Develop documentation, reusable guidance, and technical resources for future deployments
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least four years of software engineering experience building production applications
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, or backend development
- Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability across multiple layers of a technology stack
- Clear communication skills and confidence working directly with enterprise customers
- Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous settings
- Interest in AI, machine learning, or developer platforms
- Preferred: Experience deploying or supporting generative AI, LLM, or machine learning applications in production
- Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability, or MLOps
- Preferred: Experience developing customer-facing technical solutions or integrations
- Preferred: Experience creating reusable developer tools or frameworks, or contributing to open source
- Preferred: Consulting, solutions engineering, or technical customer success experience with enterprise clients
- Preferred: Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
